Return to the mesozoic! Travel back into the past 230 million years ago, into the era of the dinosaurs.

The Trias (Triassic), 250 to 205 million years ago. During this era the first dinosaurs appeared. Here you meet the oldest dinosaur worldwide – “Eoraptor”, the dawn hunter – and marvel at the oldest dinosaur baby.

The Jurassic, 205 – 145 million years ago. During the Jurassic the dinosaurs evolved rapidly. The first longnecked and herbivorous giants, such as the Patagosaurus occour and modern theropods like the Piatnitzkysaurus populate the southern realms.

The Cretaceous, 145 – 65 million years ago. The Cretaceaous hall presents the “Golden Age” of the dinosaurs. Meet the Argentinosaurus, the biggest dinosaur ever found. Shiver at the sight of the Giganotosaurus, the biggest carnivorous dinosaur of all times. Experience hourly an impressive and unparalled Sound & Light Show.

Take a rest in the Cretaceous and have a little snack or a drink underneath the biggest dinosaur in the world.

With the opening of the Senckenberg exhibiton „GigaSaurus – The giants from Argentina“ the Rhein-Main-area gained a new and unique event location: The GigaSaurus palace. Placed in a top area near the „Messeturm“ (Mainzer Landstraße / Güterplatz) the Palace does not only offer all comforts for demanding people but also a very special atmosphere.
